The Power of Change: Stepping Into Who You Were Meant to Be
To become who you truly want to be, there’s one thing you need to do: do what you haven’t done yet.
I know that might sound frustrating because you might be thinking, “I’ve tried everything. I’ve done all the things.” But let me challenge you with a truth that might sting a little: you haven’t.
Not really.
You haven’t committed fully. You haven’t taken a hard, honest look at the thoughts that hold you back. You haven’t dug deep enough to uproot the limiting beliefs planted in you by the world, by past hurts, or by the enemy himself. And if you haven’t changed those thoughts, how can you expect your life to change?
Here’s the reality: your mind is the precursor to everything you see in your life. Your thoughts shape your choices, your actions, and ultimately, your results. If your life feels stuck, it’s not because you’re lazy or unworthy or incapable. It’s because you’ve been trapped in a mindset that tells you this is as far as you can go.
But that’s a lie.
Breaking the Cycle of Limiting Beliefs
Let’s talk about those limiting beliefs—the silent saboteurs that tell you:
"You’re not good enough."
"You’ll never make it."
"It’s too late for you."
These thoughts aren’t just harmful; they’re dangerous. They keep you in a cycle of fear and stagnation, convincing you to stay small and play safe. And the longer you believe them, the more they rob you of your God-given potential.
But here’s the good news: you can change those beliefs. The first step is to recognize them. Because what you don’t see, you can’t change.
Ask yourself:
What stories am I telling myself about who I am and what I can do?
Are these stories true?
Do they align with God’s promises for my life?
God didn’t create you to live in lack—mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. He created you to thrive, to flourish, and to be generous with the gifts He’s given you. But to step into that abundance, you need to let go of the lies holding you back.
The Mindset Shift That Changes Everything
God has already equipped you with everything you need to succeed. He gave you a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The question is, will you use it?
The difference between those who rise and those who stay stuck is simple: effort, persistence, and commitment. Most people give up at the first sign of discomfort. They tell themselves they’ve done enough. But success requires something more.
It requires grit. It requires doing the hard thing, even when it’s uncomfortable. It requires believing in the vision God placed in your heart, even when the world tells you it’s impossible.
If you want to change your life, you have to start with your mind. You need to rewrite the script you’ve been living by and replace it with the truth of who you are in Christ:
You are chosen.
You are capable.
You are loved.
Moving From Stagnation to Transformation
The enemy wants you stuck—numb, distracted, and defeated. He whispers lies to keep you from stepping into your calling. But God wants you free. He wants you to rise above the noise and step boldly into the life He’s prepared for you.
So, how do you do that? You commit. Fully. Unequivocally. You stop waiting for the perfect moment or the perfect circumstances and start where you are—with what you have.
Set boundaries to protect your time and energy.
Commit to daily habits that align with the person you want to become.
Pray for courage and clarity, trusting God to guide your steps.
Change isn’t easy, but it’s always worth it. Your future self is depending on you to make the hard choices today. And the best part? You’re not doing it alone. God is with you every step of the way, equipping you with His strength, His wisdom, and His love.
This is your time. Step into it. The power of change is in your hands.
